Stand-up comedy is a performance directed to a live audience, where the performer stands on a stage and delivers humorous and satirical monologues sometimes incorporating physical acts.
These performances are typically composed of rehearsed scripts but often include varying degrees of live crowd interaction. Stand-up comedy consists of one-liners, stories, observations, or shticks that can employ props, music, impressions, magic tricks, or ventriloquism.

From the mean streets of New York City, Evan Danger broke into the Shanghai comedy scene in 2014 and quickly gained recognition as the most epic, handsome, deadly, mysterious, and well-dressed comic in town. Performing in English, Mandarin, Shanghainese and Japanese, “Big Daddy Danger” has torn the house down at numerous clubs in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Mr. Danger is ethnically a Native American, Italian, Puerto Rican, Chilean, Spanish, Irish, honorary-Jew (let’s just say 混血兒). Living in Shanghai since 2013, and working as an investment portfolio manager and “language consultant,” Mr. Danger offers a unique blend of comedy that will bring tears of joy to your eyes and blow your mind.
